BookThe study of God's Word demands our best attention. The Holy Spirit teaches us, but we must apply ourselves as well. It takes careful study of the Bible to understand its deep meanings.  This short course focuses upon a single method by which to organize and get a head start on your study. Without a plan of action it would be very difficult to build a house, sew a dress, or graduate from school, but having a well-thought-out strategy makes any task more enjoyable and profitable. Inductive Bible study is a method by which you can profit greatly from your personal studies in God's Word, beginning immediately, while continuing to grow and learn new methods, add information, and gain greater insight.  "Basic Inductive Bible Study" is aimed at beginners, but will also provide a great means of checking Bible study methods for even the advanced learner.  The focus is the "Inductive Method" of studying God's Word.

Books

In Christian theology, hermeneutics focuses specifically on constructing and discovering the appropriate rules for interpreting the Scriptures. The goal in applying the principles of hermeneutics is to "rightly handle the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15), striving to accurately discern the meaning of the text as it was originally written and understood by those who first received it.  In this Biblical Training course, which comprises 7 Modules intended to be completed in 1 week each, Dr. Mark Strauss first takes us through an introduction to biblical hermeneutics.  Next comes the principles and steps that must be taken in proper exegesis of a passage of Scripture, then a comprehensive view of the importance and limitations of word studies.  Finally, we learn how to properly apply what we have learned from the Scripture to our own life situation.
